Devotion:
Walking With You
"Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers."
Reflection
Psalm 1 begins with a picture of movement. First walking, then standing, then sitting. It reveals how easily we can drift if we're not intentional about who influences us and where we spend our attention.
The blessed person is not someone who is perfect. The blessed person is someone who chooses God's way.
Every day we are surrounded by voices competing for our hearts. Social media, news, opinions, fears, trends, and pressures all try to shape our thinking. Yet God continually invites us into something better—a daily walk with Him.
Walking with Jesus is not merely a Sunday activity. It's a moment-by-moment relationship. It's choosing His truth when culture says otherwise. It's trusting His promises when circumstances seem uncertain. It's following His leading one step at a time.
The beautiful promise of Scripture is that we never walk alone. Christ goes before us, beside us, and within us through His Spirit. The path may not always be easy, but His presence makes every step worthwhile.
As you listen to Walking With You, let it become your prayer:
"Lord, help me stay close to You. Keep my feet on Your path. Let my life reflect Your wisdom instead of the world's distractions. Every step I take, may I be walking with You."
Prayer
Father, thank You for leading me in the right path. Help me recognize the voices that pull me away from You and give me the courage to follow Your truth. Teach me to walk closely with Jesus every day, trusting Your guidance and resting in Your presence. Let my life bring glory to You with every step I take. In Jesus' name, Amen.
