Waiting On You

Devotion:

Waiting On You

Scripture: Isaiah 40:31

"But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint."

Waiting is one of the hardest parts of the Christian life. We live in a world built around speed. Fast answers, instant updates, same-day delivery. Yet God often works in seasons rather than moments.

The waiting Isaiah describes is not passive. It is a posture of trust. It means placing our hope in God when we cannot yet see the outcome. It means believing He is still working when circumstances seem unchanged.

The promise is remarkable. God does not simply help us survive the wait—He renews our strength through it. The very season that feels like it is draining us can become the place where God restores us.

Like an eagle riding the currents above the storm, God invites us to rise above our circumstances through dependence on Him. Our strength has limits; His does not.

If you are waiting today—for healing, provision, direction, restoration, or answered prayer—remember that God is not absent in the waiting. He is present, active, and faithful.

Prayer

Father, I choose to wait on You. When I am tired, renew my strength. When I am uncertain, remind me of Your faithfulness. Teach me to trust Your timing and not my own. Lift my eyes above my circumstances and help me rest in Your promises. I believe that You are working, even when I cannot see it. In Jesus' name, amen.
