“Now to Him who is able to strengthen you…”
Paul closes his letter to the Romans not with advice — but with worship.
Before anything else, remember this: God is able to strengthen you.
Not self-help.
Not willpower.
Not positive thinking.
God Himself strengthens you.
And He does it “according to the gospel.” That means your stability isn’t based on your performance — it’s rooted in what Jesus Christ has already done.
Paul calls the gospel a mystery once hidden but now revealed. What was once concealed is now clear: salvation is for all nations. Grace is not exclusive. Faith is the doorway. Obedience flows from trust.
And how does Paul end it?
“To the only wise God be glory forevermore through Jesus Christ! Amen.”
When you don’t understand what God is doing, remember this — He is the only wise God.
When life feels unstable, remember this — He is able to strengthen you.
When the future feels uncertain, remember this — glory belongs to Him forever.
Today, rest in His wisdom.
Stand in His strength.
Give Him the glory.
Amen.
Prayer
Father,
You are the only wise God.
When I don’t understand what You’re doing, help me trust Your wisdom.
When I feel weak, strengthen me according to the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Root my heart in truth, steady my steps in faith, and let my life bring You glory.
Through Jesus Christ — forever and ever.
Amen.
