Devotion: The King Is Coming

"His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns... His name is the Word of God." — Revelation 19:12-13

Reflection

The world often feels unstable. Headlines change by the hour. Nations rise and fall. Personal struggles can leave us wondering if God is still in control.

Then Revelation gives us a breathtaking picture: heaven opens.

John does not see panic in heaven. He does not see confusion. He sees a King.

Jesus appears riding a white horse, a symbol of victory. He is called Faithful and True because every promise He has made will be fulfilled. Not one word from His mouth will fail.

The same Jesus who walked the dusty roads of Galilee, carried the cross, and rose from the grave will one day return in glory. He will establish perfect justice, end evil forever, and reign openly as King of kings.

For believers, the return of Christ is not a reason for fear—it is a reason for hope.

When life feels uncertain, remember this: the future is not controlled by circumstances, governments, economies, or human plans. The future belongs to Jesus.

And the King is coming.

Prayer

Lord Jesus,

Thank You for being Faithful and True. When my world feels uncertain, remind me that You are still on the throne. Help me live with confidence, knowing that Your promises never fail and Your kingdom will never end.

Keep my eyes fixed on You and my heart ready for Your return. Fill me with hope, courage, and worship as I wait for the day when every eye will see Your glory.
