Still Your Love

Scripture: Romans 5:8

"But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."

There are moments when we wonder if we've exhausted God's patience. We replay our failures, remember words we wish we could take back, and carry burdens that seem too heavy to set down. We ask ourselves, "Could God still love me after all this?"

The answer of the gospel is a resounding yes.

God didn't wait for us to become perfect before He loved us. He loved us while we were still broken. Jesus went to the cross knowing every failure, every weakness, every hidden struggle—and He chose to give His life anyway.

His love isn't fragile. It doesn't disappear when we stumble. It doesn't grow cold when we fail. His love is steadfast because it flows from His character, not from our performance.

That doesn't mean God ignores sin. Instead, He lovingly calls us to repentance because He desires restored fellowship with His children. His grace doesn't excuse our sin; it rescues us from it.

When Peter denied Jesus three times, the Lord didn't cast him aside. After the resurrection, Jesus lovingly restored Peter and entrusted him with caring for His people. God's love not only forgives—it restores.

Perhaps today you're carrying regret. Maybe you feel distant from God or wonder if you've drifted too far. Hear His invitation once again. Come home. His arms are still open. His mercy is still new. His grace is still sufficient.

Nothing you've done has surprised Him. Nothing is beyond His power to redeem. When you turn to Christ, you don't find condemnation—you find the same faithful Savior whose love has never changed.

Today, rest in this beautiful truth: His love was reaching for you long before you ever reached for Him. And it is still reaching for you today.

Prayer

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for loving me even when I fall short. Thank You that Your love is not based on my achievements but on Your perfect grace shown through Jesus Christ.

Forgive me where I have sinned. Restore my heart and help me walk closely with You each day. Remind me that nothing can separate me from Your love when I belong to Christ. Fill me with confidence, peace, and gratitude as I live in the light of Your unfailing love.

Help me extend that same grace to others so they may experience the love You have shown me.

In Jesus' name,

Amen.
