She Left Me That Night
There are moments in life that divide everything into before and after.
One second, everything feels normal—alive, even. The next, nothing will ever be the same again.
We don’t like to think about how fragile life is. We live fast, we assume there’s always more time, more chances, more tomorrows. But the truth is, none of us are promised that.
Psalm 90:12 says, “Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.”
That doesn’t mean living in fear—it means living aware. Loving deeper. Choosing wisely. Slowing down when it matters. Saying the words we keep putting off.
Loss has a way of waking us up to what really matters.
And even in the heartbreak, there’s a quiet hope for those who believe: this life isn’t the end of the story.
Prayer
God,
Life can change in a moment, and sometimes we’re left carrying pain we don’t know how to process. For anyone listening who has experienced loss, regret, or heartbreak—meet them right where they are.
Teach us to live with awareness, not taking a single moment for granted. Help us to love better, choose wisely, and walk in Your ways.
And when we carry memories that hurt, remind us that You are near to the brokenhearted. Bring peace where there is turmoil, and hope where there feels like none.
We trust You with what we don’t understand.
Amen.
