Send Me

Scripture: Isaiah 6:8

"Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, 'Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?' And I said, 'Here am I. Send me!'”

There are moments in life when God quietly places an opportunity before us. It may not seem dramatic. It could be serving a neighbor, encouraging someone who's hurting, sharing the hope of Christ, or simply remaining faithful in the place He's already put us.

Isaiah's response wasn't complicated. He didn't negotiate. He didn't ask for every detail. He simply made himself available.

That kind of surrender still honors God today.

Many of us feel unqualified. We see our weaknesses more clearly than our gifts. We wonder if someone else would do a better job. Yet throughout Scripture, God repeatedly chose ordinary people who were willing to trust Him. He supplied the strength, wisdom, and courage they lacked.

God's call isn't limited to missionaries, pastors, or church leaders. Every believer has opportunities each day to reflect Christ through kindness, forgiveness, generosity, integrity, and love. Sometimes the greatest acts of obedience happen in ordinary places—our homes, workplaces, schools, and neighborhoods.

When we surrender our plans to God, He often opens doors we never expected. He may not reveal every step ahead, but He promises His presence as we walk by faith.

Today, instead of asking God to fit into your plans, ask Him to reveal His. Offer Him your time, your gifts, your words, and your heart.

You may discover that the greatest adventure isn't chasing your own dreams—it's joining God's work wherever He sends you.

Prayer

Father,

Thank You for inviting me to be part of Your work. Forgive me for the times fear, comfort, or doubt have kept me from saying yes to You.

Give me a willing heart. Help me trust You even when I don't know every detail. Open my eyes to the people You want me to love and the opportunities You place before me today.

Use my life to point others to Jesus. Wherever You lead, give me the faith to answer,

"Here I am. Send me."
