Raised To Life

Devotion: Raised To Life

Scripture

"And on the third day He will be raised to life!" — Matthew 20:19

Devotion

Jesus knew exactly what was waiting for Him.

He knew the betrayal was coming. He knew the cross was ahead. He knew the suffering would be unimaginable. Yet He walked forward in obedience because His love for us was greater than the pain He would endure.

When the disciples heard Jesus speak of His death, they likely struggled to understand. The cross looked like the end of the story. But God was writing a greater story.

Three days later, the tomb was empty.

The resurrection is the foundation of our faith. It declares that sin has been defeated, death has lost its sting, and Jesus reigns forever. The same power that raised Christ from the dead is still at work today, bringing hope to the hopeless, peace to the troubled, and life to what seems beyond repair.

Many of us face situations that feel sealed behind a stone. A broken relationship. A lost dream. A difficult diagnosis. A burden we've carried for years.

The resurrection reminds us that God specializes in bringing life where we see only endings.

What appears impossible to us is never impossible for Him.

Because Jesus was raised to life, we can trust Him with every part of our story.

Prayer

Father,

Thank You for sending Jesus to die for my sins and rise again in victory. Thank You that the grave could not hold Him and that His resurrection gives me hope today.

Help me trust You when circumstances seem impossible. Remind me that You are still the God who brings life, healing, and restoration. Strengthen my faith and help me walk confidently in the victory that Jesus has already won.

May my life point others to the risen Savior.

In Jesus' name,

Amen. 🙏
