Pray, Obey, and Love

Scripture Focus:
James 5:16 • Deuteronomy 13:4 • 1 Corinthians 13:4–7

Devotional Thought:
We often search for a deeper, more complicated version of faith—something profound, something advanced. But God keeps bringing us back to the basics.

Pray.
Obey.
Love.

Prayer is where honesty meets healing. It’s not about perfect words—it’s about a real heart. When you bring your struggles into the light, God begins to move in ways you can’t always see, but you will feel.

Obedience is where trust becomes action. It’s easy to say we trust God, but obedience is the proof. Even when it’s uncomfortable. Even when it costs something. That’s where growth happens.

Love is the evidence. Not shallow, not conditional—but patient, kind, and resilient. The kind of love that reflects Jesus to the people around you.

This isn’t complicated—but it is powerful.

Reflection Question:
Which of these is God calling you to grow in today: praying, obeying, or loving?

Prayer:
God, help me not to overcomplicate what You’ve made clear.
Teach me to pray with honesty, obey with courage, and love like You.
Shape my life around what matters most.
Amen.
