ONLY YOU SAVE
Galatians 5:2 hits hard because it confronts something deep in us—we like to feel in control.
We want to contribute.
We want to earn.
We want to prove we’re worthy.
But the gospel flips that mindset upside down.
Paul warns that if we rely on outward acts or our own effort to make us right with God, we actually disconnect from the very grace that saves us. It’s not that effort is bad—it’s that effort can’t replace Jesus.
Striving says: “I’ll get there if I try harder.”
Grace says: “Jesus already brought you there.”
That tension is where freedom is found.
When you release the need to perform, something powerful happens:
Peace replaces pressure
Identity replaces insecurity
Rest replaces exhaustion
You stop living for approval and start living from it.
Today, ask yourself:
Where am I still striving instead of trusting?
