More Than We Could Ask

Scripture

"Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us." — Ephesians 3:20

We often approach God with careful prayers. We ask for enough strength to get through today, enough provision to pay the bills, enough wisdom for the next decision. Yet God invites us to remember that He is not limited by our imagination or our circumstances.

Paul reminds us that God is able to do immeasurably more than we could ask or even imagine. That doesn't mean He grants every request exactly as we picture it. Instead, He works according to His perfect wisdom, accomplishing purposes far greater than we can see. Sometimes His answer exceeds our expectations. Sometimes it comes in a different form than we hoped. Sometimes He changes us even more than He changes our situation.

The same power that raised Christ from the dead is at work in those who belong to Him. Nothing is impossible for God, and nothing is beyond His ability to redeem for His glory and our good.

Today, bring your biggest need before the Lord—but don't stop there. Trust Him not only for what you're asking, but also for the greater work He may already be doing behind the scenes.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You for being able to do far more than I could ever ask or imagine. Help me trust Your wisdom when I cannot see the whole picture. Strengthen my faith to believe that You are always working for Your glory and for my good. May my life bring honor to You, and may I never limit what You can accomplish through a heart surrendered to You. In Jesus' name, Amen.
