Love So Much

Devotion: Love So Much

Scripture

"Therefore I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven—as her great love has shown. But whoever has been forgiven little loves little."
— Luke 7:47

Devotional Thought

In Luke chapter 7, a woman enters a room filled with people who judged her by her past. They saw her failures. Jesus saw her faith.

She knelt at His feet, overwhelmed by gratitude. Why? Because she understood something many others in the room missed. She knew how much she had been forgiven.

The reality is that every believer has been forgiven much. Some stories are more visible than others, but every one of us was separated from God by sin. The cross leveled the ground beneath us all.

The more we recognize the depth of God's mercy, the deeper our worship becomes. Worship is not simply singing songs on Sunday morning. It is a grateful response to a Savior who loved us when we were unlovable, pursued us when we were running away, and forgave us when we could not save ourselves.

When gratitude fades, remembering God's forgiveness renews our love. Looking back at where Jesus found us helps us appreciate where He is leading us.

Today, take a moment to reflect on all that Christ has forgiven. Let gratitude fill your heart. Let worship rise naturally. Not because you have to, but because His grace is worth celebrating.

Prayer

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for Your amazing grace and mercy. Thank You for forgiving my sins through Jesus Christ. When I am tempted to focus on my failures, remind me of Your forgiveness. When gratitude grows weak, help me remember the price Jesus paid on the cross for me.

Teach me to love You more each day. Let my worship be genuine, flowing from a heart that understands the depth of Your mercy. May my life reflect the gratitude I have for all You have done.

In Jesus' name,

Amen.
