Devotion — Life Is Yours

Scripture: Romans 14:8

"If we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. So then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord's."

Our culture teaches us that life belongs to us—that fulfillment comes from following our own plans. But Scripture offers a better way. The greatest freedom comes when we recognize that our lives belong to God.

Surrender isn't losing; it's gaining. When we place our future into His hands, He replaces fear with peace, uncertainty with purpose, and striving with rest. Every gift, every opportunity, every trial can become an act of worship when offered back to Him.

God never wastes a surrendered life. He shapes us through every season and faithfully completes the work He has begun.

Today, instead of asking, "What do I want?" ask, "Lord, what would You have me do?" As we walk in obedience, we discover that His plans are higher, His love is deeper, and His faithfulness never fails.

Prayer

Father, my life is Yours. Thank You for creating me, redeeming me through Jesus, and calling me to follow You. Help me surrender every dream, every fear, every success, and every burden into Your hands. Lead me by Your Spirit, strengthen my faith, and use my life to bring glory to Your name. Let my words, actions, and heart reflect Christ each day. In Jesus' name, Amen.
