Devotion — Joined As One
Scripture: Ephesians 4:3-6
"Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit... one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all."
The world often divides people into groups, but Jesus does the opposite. He brings people together. Through His death and resurrection, He tears down walls of pride, prejudice, fear, and isolation, creating one family united by grace.
Being joined as one doesn't mean we're all the same. God designed each believer with unique gifts, personalities, and callings. Our differences become strengths when they're surrendered to Christ. Like many parts forming one body, every believer has a place in God's kingdom.
Unity doesn't happen by accident. It grows through humility, forgiveness, patience, and love. When we choose peace over pride and service over self, we reflect the heart of Jesus. The Church shines brightest when believers walk together in His love.
Today, ask God to help you build unity wherever you are—in your family, your church, your workplace, and your community. As we remain centered on Christ, the world catches a glimpse of His Kingdom.
Prayer
Father, thank You for making me part of Your family through Jesus Christ. Help me to walk in humility, love, and peace with those around me. Remove anything in my heart that causes division, and teach me to encourage, forgive, and serve others well. May my life help strengthen the unity of Your Church so that people will see Jesus through us. Join our hearts together for Your glory. In Jesus' name,
Amen.
