Finish This Race

Daily Devotion – “Finish This Race”

Scripture: Acts 20:24

Paul didn’t measure success by comfort.
He didn’t measure it by safety.
He didn’t even measure it by survival.

He measured it by obedience.

I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race…”

That’s not reckless faith — it’s surrendered faith.

In a culture obsessed with self-preservation, Paul talks about self-surrender.
In a world chasing personal platforms, he talks about finishing the task Jesus gave him.

The goal wasn’t fame.
The goal wasn’t ease.
The goal was to testify about grace.

The beautiful tension of Acts 20:24 is this:
The race is hard — but the grace is stronger.

You don’t finish by striving harder.
You finish by leaning deeper into the grace of God.

Today, ask yourself:

Am I running for comfort or calling?

Am I protecting my life, or offering it?

The finish line isn’t applause — it’s faithfulness.

Run with grace.
Run with purpose.
Run to testify.

Prayer:
Jesus, my life is not my own. Help me run the race You marked out for me. Give me courage when it’s costly and grace when I’m weak. Let my life testify to Your goodness. Amen.
