Faith That Moves
James 2:18–20
Scripture
“But someone will say, ‘You have faith; I have deeds.’
Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds…
Faith without works is dead.” — James 2:18–20
Devotion
Faith was never meant to sit still.
In Faith That Moves, the heart of the song reflects what James teaches so clearly: real faith shows up in real life. It moves our hands, our feet, our words, and our choices. Faith isn’t just what we say we believe—it’s what we live.
James challenges believers with a bold truth: faith that never produces action isn’t alive. It may sound spiritual. It may look religious. But living faith always produces something visible.
When we truly trust God, it changes how we live.
Faith forgives when it’s hard.
Faith serves when it’s inconvenient.
Faith loves when it would be easier to walk away.
Faith moves.
Think about it this way:
We don’t do good works to earn God’s love—we act because we already have it. When Jesus changes our hearts, our lives begin to reflect Him naturally.
So today, ask yourself:
Where is my faith showing up?
Maybe it looks like encouraging someone who is discouraged.
Maybe it looks like stepping out in obedience even when you're unsure.
Maybe it simply means loving someone the way Christ has loved you.
Faith that lives is faith that moves.
Prayer
Lord,
Thank You for giving me a living faith through Jesus.
Help my faith be more than words—let it show in how I live.
Move my heart to love, to serve, and to obey You.
Let my actions reflect the faith You’ve placed inside me.
Teach me to walk out my faith every day.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
