Everything in Your Name

Scripture: Colossians 3:17

"And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him."

Many people think worship only happens during music in church. But Paul tells us something much bigger: our entire lives can become worship.

Colossians 3:17 doesn’t separate sacred moments from ordinary ones. Instead, it brings everything under the authority of Jesus. The words we speak, the work we do, the way we treat people, and even the small decisions we make can reflect His name.

That means worship doesn't end when the music stops.

When you speak kindness to someone who needs encouragement, you’re honoring Jesus.
When you work with integrity even when no one is watching, you’re honoring Jesus.
When you forgive, show patience, or choose gratitude, you’re honoring Jesus.

This is the heart behind the song “Everything in Your Name.” It’s a declaration that our lives belong to Christ in every moment.

The goal of following Jesus isn't just singing about Him — it's living for Him.

Today, ask yourself a simple question:

"Can this moment reflect the name of Jesus?"

If the answer is yes, then even the smallest act becomes an offering of worship.

Prayer

Lord Jesus,
Teach me to live in a way that honors Your name.
Let my words reflect Your love and my actions reflect Your grace.
Help me remember that worship isn't just something I sing — it's the way I live.
May everything I do today bring glory to You.
