Even Now

Even Now

Scripture: John 11:25–27

Jesus said something radical in the middle of a grieving moment:
“I am the resurrection and the life.”

Not “I will be.”
Not “one day.”
But “I AM.”

Martha was looking ahead to a future resurrection. Jesus redirected her focus to a present reality. He was telling her: Life isn’t just an event—it’s a person. And I’m standing right in front of you.

How often do we do the same?

We say,
“Someday things will change.”
“Someday I’ll feel peace again.”
“Someday God will move.”

But Jesus meets us with a different truth:
“Even now.”

Even now, in your unanswered questions—He is life.
Even now, in your grief—He is present.
Even now, in what feels dead—He is still working.

The miracle hadn’t happened yet. Lazarus was still in the grave.
But Jesus asked Martha one question that still echoes today:

Do you believe this?”

That’s the turning point. Not understanding everything. Not seeing proof yet.
Just choosing to believe who He is in the middle of what you’re facing.

Reflection:
What area of your life feels “final” right now?

Prayer:
Jesus, You are the resurrection and the life.
Help me trust You, not just for the future, but right now.
In the middle of my questions, teach me to believe.
Even now, I choose to trust You. Amen.
