Born of Your Love
John 3:8–9
“The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.” — John 3:8
When Jesus spoke these words to Nicodemus, He described something mysterious and beautiful about life with God. The work of the Spirit cannot be controlled, predicted, or manufactured. Like the wind, it moves freely—quietly transforming hearts and bringing new life where there was once only emptiness.
To be born of God’s love is not simply to adopt a new belief system; it is to experience a spiritual rebirth. God’s love reaches into the deepest parts of us and makes us new. Our old identity—shaped by fear, sin, and striving—is replaced with a new one formed by grace.
The song “Born of Your Love” echoes this truth: that our life with God begins not with our effort, but with His initiative. His love awakens us. His Spirit breathes life into us. And suddenly we find ourselves changed—loving what we once ignored, seeking what we once avoided, and trusting the One we once questioned.
Just as we cannot see the wind but feel its power, we may not always understand how God is working in our lives. Yet the evidence of His Spirit becomes clear over time: a softened heart, a growing faith, a deeper love for others, and a longing for His presence.
Today, remember that your relationship with God is not built on striving harder but on being born again through His love. Let His Spirit move freely in your life. Trust His work—even when you cannot see where He is leading.
Reflection
Where have you seen the Spirit of God quietly changing your heart or direction lately?
Prayer
Father, thank You for the gift of new life through Your love. Breathe Your Spirit into my heart today. Help me trust Your work even when I cannot see it clearly. Let my life reflect the evidence that I have been born of Your love. Amen.
