All Of My Heart

Daily Devotion

All Of My Heart
Matthew 22:36–46

When the Pharisees tried to test Jesus, they asked Him, “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” Jesus answered without hesitation:

You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.”
“This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
Matthew 22:37–39

Your song All Of My Heart echoes this very moment.

God isn’t asking for a portion of you. He isn’t looking for weekend worship or leftover affection. He wants all of your heart — not divided, not distracted, not half-committed.

To love God with all your heart means your deepest desires are turned toward Him.
To love Him with all your soul means your identity belongs to Him.
To love Him with all your mind means your thoughts are shaped by His truth.

Jesus doesn’t reduce faith to rules. He brings it back to relationship. Love is the foundation. Everything else hangs on it.

Then Jesus turns the question around in Matthew 22:41–46, asking about the identity of the Christ. He reveals that the Messiah is not just David’s son — but David’s Lord. Love begins with recognizing who Jesus truly is: Lord.

You cannot give all your heart to someone you only see as a teacher.
But when you see Him as Lord — you surrender.

All Of My Heart” is more than a lyric. It is a prayer of alignment. It is choosing daily to say:

Lord, every affection, every ambition, every hidden corner — it’s Yours.”

When we love God fully, loving others flows naturally. The vertical fuels the horizontal.

Today, examine your heart gently:

Is there anything competing for first place?

Are your thoughts aligned with His truth?

Are your relationships reflecting His love?

God is not demanding perfection. He is inviting devotion.

And when you give Him all of your heart, you’ll discover He has already given you all of His.

Prayer

Lord Jesus,
You are not just a good teacher — You are my Lord.
I choose today to love You with all my heart, all my soul, and all my mind.
Remove divided loyalties.
Refocus my thoughts.
Reignite my first love.
Let my love for You overflow into love for others.
You deserve all of me.
Amen.
