A Home Beyond The Sky

Scripture:
“For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands.” — 2 Corinthians 5:1

Paul calls this life a tent.

Temporary.
Movable.
Fragile.

In Second Epistle to the Corinthians, he reminds believers that what we see isn’t the final structure. This body, this world, this present suffering — it isn’t permanent.

We weren’t made only for here.

There’s a holy longing inside every believer — a quiet ache for something more solid, more lasting, more eternal. Scripture says that longing isn’t weakness. It’s preparation.

God has placed eternity in our hearts.
And He has prepared a home beyond the sky.

Not symbolic.
Not poetic imagination.
Real. Eternal. Secure.

When grief hits…
When the body feels fragile…
When this world feels unstable…

Remember: we are not homeless. We are not abandoned. We are not wandering without destination.

We have a building from God.

And the Spirit Himself is the guarantee — the down payment — that what God promised, He will fulfill.

A Home Beyond the Sky” isn’t escapism.
It’s assurance.

This life is a tent.
But eternity is a home.

And it’s already prepared.

Prayer:
Father, when this life feels temporary and uncertain, anchor my heart in eternal truth. Remind me that this world is not my final home. Strengthen my hope, steady my faith, and help me live today with eternity in view. In Jesus’ name, amen
