You Hear My Cry
Scripture:
"In my distress I called to the Lord; I cried to my God for help. From His temple He heard my voice; my cry came before Him, into His ears." — Psalm 18:6
There are seasons when our prayers feel weak. Sometimes all we have left are tears, sighs, or a simple, "Lord, help me."
David knew those moments well. He wasn't praying from a comfortable place. He cried out while surrounded by trouble, and yet he held firmly to one truth: God hears.
That promise hasn't changed.
Our Heavenly Father is never distracted. He never grows tired of listening. Every prayer spoken in faith reaches His ears. Sometimes His answer comes immediately. Sometimes He asks us to wait while He accomplishes something deeper in us. But His silence is never His absence.
Jesus understands our cries because He walked through suffering Himself. He knows what it is to weep, to grieve, and to trust the Father completely. Because of Him, we can approach God with confidence, knowing we are loved and welcomed.
When life feels overwhelming, don't stop praying. Keep bringing your heart to the Lord. He hears every word, every whispered prayer, and every tear that falls. His timing is perfect, His compassion never fails, and His faithfulness reaches far beyond what we can see today.
Perhaps the greatest comfort is not simply that God answers prayer, but that He is present while we wait. His presence gives peace before circumstances change, strength before the breakthrough comes, and hope that carries us through the darkest nights.
Whatever burden you're carrying today, bring it to Him again. He hears your cry.
Prayer
Father,
Thank You for being the God who listens. Thank You that I never pray into empty space, but to a loving Father who knows my heart completely. When I feel discouraged, remind me that You hear every cry and every whispered prayer. Give me faith to trust Your timing, courage to keep seeking You, and peace while I wait for Your answer. Help me rest in Your presence, knowing You are always working for Your glory and my good.
In Jesus' name,
Amen.
