Worthy On The Throne

Scripture: "Worthy is the Lamb who was slain." (Revelation 5:12)

Our world measures worth by achievement, wealth, influence, or popularity. God's Kingdom measures worth very differently. In heaven there is only One found worthy to open the scroll, fulfill God's plan of redemption, and receive everlasting worship—Jesus Christ.

The Apostle John wept because no one appeared worthy. Then the elders declared the glorious news: "See, the Lion of the tribe of Judah... has triumphed." When John looked, he didn't first see a lion. He saw a Lamb that had been slain. The greatest victory ever won came through sacrifice, not force.

Jesus willingly gave His life on the cross for sinners who could never save themselves. Three days later He rose from the grave, defeating sin, death, and Satan forever. Because of His perfect obedience and His finished work, He now sits at the Father's right hand, reigning over all creation.

Every throne on earth is temporary. Every kingdom eventually falls. Every ruler is replaced. But Christ's throne stands forever. His authority never diminishes, His promises never fail, and His love never ends.

When life feels uncertain, remember who sits on the throne. When fear whispers that everything is out of control, look again to heaven. The throne is not empty. Jesus still reigns.

Worship is more than singing songs; it is surrendering our hearts to the One who deserves them. Every act of obedience, every prayer offered in faith, every sacrifice made for His name declares that He alone is worthy.

One day the worship described in Revelation will become reality for every believer. We will join an innumerable multitude declaring with one voice that salvation belongs to our God and to the Lamb. Until that day, our lives become rehearsals for eternity as we praise the King who loved us first.

Whatever you're facing today, lift your eyes to the throne. The One seated there knows your name, hears your prayers, and holds your future. He is worthy in every season—on the mountaintops and in the valleys, in times of abundance and in times of waiting.

Today, choose worship over worry, trust over fear, and praise over despair. The Lamb who was slain is alive forevermore, and He alone is Worthy On The Throne.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, You alone are worthy of all honor, glory, and praise. Thank You for giving Your life to redeem me and for rising again in victory. Help me keep my eyes on Your throne instead of my circumstances. Let my life become an offering of worship that points others to You. Reign in my heart each day until I stand before You in eternity.

Amen.
