Well Done
Scripture:
There are few words in Scripture more encouraging than these:
"Well done, good and faithful servant." (Matthew 25:23)
Notice that Jesus doesn't praise popularity, wealth, talent, or influence. He praises faithfulness.
Our world measures success by numbers—followers, income, achievements, and applause. God's kingdom measures something very different. He looks at the heart. He sees what no one else sees: the unseen prayers, the quiet obedience, the moments when you choose forgiveness over bitterness, truth over compromise, and faith over fear.
Every act of obedience matters.
Sometimes faithfulness feels unnoticed. You may wonder whether your prayers are making any difference. You may feel like you're serving without recognition or loving without reward. But nothing done for Christ is ever wasted.
God keeps perfect record.
Jesus told the parable of the talents to remind us that we've each been entrusted with gifts, opportunities, relationships, and time. He isn't asking us to compare ourselves with others. He's asking us to be faithful with what He's placed in our hands.
Faithfulness means continuing to trust when life is difficult.
It means choosing integrity when compromise would be easier.
It means serving with humility instead of seeking recognition.
It means loving people even when love costs something.
One day, every believer will stand before Christ. On that day, earthly trophies will no longer matter. The only approval worth pursuing will come from the One who gave everything to save us.
Imagine hearing Jesus say those beautiful words:
"Well done."
What a day that will be.
Until then, keep running your race. Keep loving. Keep serving. Keep worshiping. Keep trusting Him.
God isn't looking for perfection—He's looking for hearts that remain faithful.
Prayer
Father,
Thank You for reminding me that true success is found in faithfulness to You. Help me to live each day with eternity in view. Give me strength to obey You when it's difficult, courage to trust You when I cannot see the outcome, and humility to serve without seeking recognition.
Use my life for Your glory. Let every word I speak and every choice I make honor Jesus. And when my race is finished, may I hear those wonderful words:
"Well done, good and faithful servant."
In Jesus' name,
Amen.
