We Will Rise Again

Scripture:

"Though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again..." — Proverbs 24:16

Every believer knows what it feels like to fall.

Sometimes it's because of failure. Sometimes it's disappointment. Sometimes life simply knocks us down with grief, sickness, loss, or circumstances we never expected.

The enemy loves to convince us that falling means we've failed permanently. He whispers that we've gone too far, that God is finished with us, or that we'll never recover.

But God tells a different story.

Throughout Scripture, He specializes in raising people up.

Abraham was old, yet God fulfilled His promise.

Joseph was betrayed and imprisoned before becoming a leader.

David stumbled greatly, yet found mercy through repentance.

Peter denied Jesus three times, yet was restored and became a bold preacher of the Gospel.

The empty tomb is God's greatest declaration that what appears defeated can be raised to life.

Our hope has never rested on our own strength. It rests on Christ's finished work.

When we stumble, He offers forgiveness.

When we grow weary, He renews our strength.

When we feel broken, He restores our souls.

When we feel forgotten, He reminds us that we are His beloved children.

Rising again doesn't always mean our circumstances change overnight. Often, God first raises our hearts before He changes our situation. He replaces fear with peace, despair with hope, and weakness with His strength.

Today, whatever has knocked you down doesn't have to define your future.

If your faith feels small, bring it to Him.

If your heart feels heavy, give it to Him.

If you've wandered, come home.

The God who raised Jesus from the dead is still lifting weary people today.

Stand up once more—not because you're strong enough, but because His grace is.

And if you fall again tomorrow, His mercy will meet you there again.

His faithfulness has never depended on your perfection.

So keep trusting.

Keep praying.

Keep worshipping.

Because in Christ, we will rise again.

Prayer

Father,

Thank You for never giving up on me. Thank You that Your mercy is greater than my failures and Your grace is stronger than my weakness.

When I feel discouraged, remind me of Your promises. When I fall, lift me again. Fill me with courage to keep following You, even when the path is difficult.

Help me place my hope in Jesus rather than in my circumstances. Let my life be a testimony of Your restoring power.

Thank You that because Christ lives, hope is never lost.

I choose today to trust You, stand in faith, and believe that You are still working all things for Your glory and my good.

In Jesus' name,

Amen.
