Wash Me Clean
Scripture:
"Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me." Psalm 51:10 (NKJV)
There are moments when we become painfully aware of our failures. We replay our mistakes, carry guilt we were never meant to bear, and wonder if we've gone too far from God. David knew that feeling. After confronting the reality of his own sin, he didn't try to defend himself or make excuses. Instead, he came honestly before God and cried, "Wash me clean."
That same invitation is available to us today.
God isn't looking for perfection before we come to Him. He's looking for honesty. The cross of Christ reminds us that forgiveness isn't earned through better behavior—it is received through faith in the One who paid the price for our sins.
When we confess our sins, God does more than erase a record. He restores a relationship. He replaces shame with peace, guilt with grace, and despair with hope. His mercy reaches farther than our worst failures.
Sometimes we continue carrying what Jesus has already taken away. We keep reminding ourselves of sins that God has already forgiven. But Scripture tells us that He removes our transgressions as far as the east is from the west. That's complete forgiveness—not partial, not temporary, but forever.
Perhaps today your heart feels burdened. Maybe you've wandered, grown cold, or simply need a fresh touch from the Lord. Don't hide. Come to Him. His grace has never run dry.
The prayer "Wash me clean" is not a prayer God ignores.
It is a prayer He delights to answer.

Father,
Thank You for loving me even when I fall short. I confess my sins before You and ask You to wash me clean through the blood of Jesus Christ. Create in me a clean heart and renew my spirit. Help me leave behind guilt and walk confidently in the freedom You have given me. Let my life reflect Your mercy, Your holiness, and Your love every day.

No matter what yesterday looked like, God's mercy is new today. His forgiveness is complete, His grace is sufficient, and His love is unwavering. When Jesus washes us clean, we don't have to live defined by our past—we are free to walk forward as new creations in Him.
