Unshakable
Scripture:
"Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe." — Hebrews 12:28
Life has a way of shaking everything we thought was secure. Jobs change. Health declines. Relationships can disappoint us. Plans fall apart. Even our own strength sometimes fails.
Yet the Bible tells us there is one kingdom that can never be shaken.
That kingdom belongs to Jesus.
The world teaches us to build our confidence on money, success, popularity, or our own abilities. But every one of those things can disappear overnight. Jesus invites us to build our lives on something eternal—Himself.
When He told the story of the wise builder in Matthew 7, both houses faced the same storm. The difference wasn't the weather. The difference was the foundation.
Faith doesn't promise a storm-free life. It promises a secure foundation in the middle of every storm.
Being unshakable doesn't mean we never feel afraid. It means fear doesn't become our master. It doesn't mean we never cry. It means our tears are held by a faithful Savior. It doesn't mean life becomes easy. It means Christ remains faithful when life becomes difficult.
Every challenge becomes another opportunity to discover that God's promises are stronger than our circumstances.
Today, whatever you're facing, remember this: the same God who has carried His people throughout history is carrying you. His love has not weakened. His power has not diminished. His promises have not expired.
Stand on His Word. Trust His heart. Rest in His presence.
The winds may blow.
The earth may tremble.
But those who belong to Christ stand on a foundation that can never be moved.
Prayer
Father,
Thank You for being my solid Rock when everything around me feels uncertain. Teach me to trust You more than my circumstances. Help me build every part of my life upon Your truth so that when storms come, my faith will remain firm.
Give me courage instead of fear, peace instead of worry, and confidence in Your unfailing promises. Let my life point others to the hope that is found only in Jesus.
Thank You that Your kingdom cannot be shaken, and because I belong to You, I can stand with confidence today.
In Jesus' name,
Amen.
