Devotion: Love That Won't Let Go

Scripture

"For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life... nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." — Romans 8:38–39

There are days when we feel close to God and days when we wonder if He still sees us. Our emotions rise and fall, circumstances change, and people sometimes disappoint us. But God's love is not measured by our feelings or our circumstances. It is anchored in His unchanging nature.

The cross is the greatest proof that His love will not let go. Jesus willingly gave His life so we could be forgiven, restored, and welcomed into God's family. Because of His sacrifice, nothing in all creation can separate those who belong to Christ from the Father's love.

When you stumble, His grace reaches for you. When you're weary, His strength carries you. When you're afraid, His presence surrounds you. And when you cannot hold on any longer, He is still holding on to you.

Today, rest in that promise. You don't have to earn His love—you simply receive it by faith. His love has never failed, and it never will.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You for loving me with an everlasting love. Thank You that Your love isn't based on my strength, but on Your faithfulness. Help me trust You when life is uncertain and remind me that nothing can separate me from Your love in Christ Jesus. Fill my heart with peace so I can reflect Your love to those around me. In Jesus' name, Amen.
