Working For You

Scripture

"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters." — Colossians 3:23

Devotional Thought

One of the greatest challenges in life is staying motivated when nobody notices our efforts.

We can spend hours serving, helping, working, giving, and sacrificing, yet feel overlooked or unappreciated. That's where God's perspective changes everything.

Paul reminds us that our ultimate audience is not people—it is God.

When we remember that we are working for Him, even ordinary tasks become acts of worship. The dishes, the long workday, the ministry preparation, the caring for family, the unseen acts of kindness—all of it matters because God sees it.

Nothing done for Christ is wasted.

The world rewards visibility. God rewards faithfulness.

Every act of obedience is a seed planted in His kingdom. Every moment spent honoring Him has eternal value, even when no one else notices.

Today, instead of asking, "Who sees what I'm doing?" ask, "Am I honoring the One who called me?"

Because the Lord sees every effort, every prayer, every sacrifice, and every step of faith.

And He never misses a thing.

Prayer

Father,

Thank You for seeing the things that nobody else sees. Help me to serve You faithfully in every area of my life. Teach me to work with all my heart, not for recognition, but for Your glory.

When I feel discouraged or overlooked, remind me that You are my reward. Let every task become an act of worship and every day become an opportunity to honor You.

Give me strength to remain faithful in the small things and confidence that You are working through every act of obedience.

In Jesus' name,

Amen.
