Devotion:
Pure Words
There’s a lot of noise in our world.
Voices competing for attention. Opinions shifting daily. Words that sound good in the moment but don’t hold up over time.
Psalm 12:6 gives us a completely different picture of God’s voice:
His words are pure. Not mostly true. Not occasionally reliable. Completely refined—like silver tested over and over until every impurity is gone.
That means when God speaks, there’s no hidden agenda. No exaggeration. No failure.
His promises don’t expire.
His truth doesn’t bend.
His voice doesn’t crack under pressure.
So when everything else feels uncertain, we don’t have to chase clarity—we can return to it.
God has already spoken.
And His words are still standing.
Prayer
God,
Thank You that Your words are pure and unshakable.
When everything around me feels uncertain, help me come back to Your truth.
Teach me to recognize Your voice above the noise.
Give me the faith to trust what You’ve said—even when I don’t see it yet.
Let Your Word anchor me, refine me, and lead me.
I choose to hold onto what You’ve spoken.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
