Devotion — “One Again”
There are wounds in life that time alone never seems to heal. Broken marriages, fractured families, years lost to pride, anger, addiction, selfishness, or simply drifting away from God. Many people carry silent regret wondering, What if we had done things differently?
But one of the greatest lies the enemy tells us is that God cannot restore what has been broken too long. Scripture says otherwise. God restores ruined places. He heals hearts. He rebuilds lives. He specializes in miracles that human beings think are impossible.
Restoration does not always happen the way we imagine it will. Sometimes God restores a marriage. Sometimes He restores peace. Sometimes He restores hearts individually before anything else changes outwardly. But surrender always comes first.
“One Again” reminds us that when two people stop fighting each other and start seeking God together, hope begins to breathe again. The past may carry pain, but the future still belongs to the Lord.
No matter what your situation looks like today, never underestimate what God can do with two humbled hearts willing to place Him first.
“And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten…” — Joel 2:25
Prayer
Father,
We bring every broken place before You today. Every regret, every painful memory, every shattered relationship, every family divided by hurt and pride. Lord, forgive us for the times we pushed You aside and tried to carry life on our own.
Teach us to surrender completely to You. Heal wounded hearts. Restore what can be restored according to Your perfect will. Bring peace where there is bitterness, forgiveness where there is pain, and hope where people have nearly given up.
For those praying for reconciliation, give them wisdom, patience, humility, and faith. Let Your Spirit lead every step. And even in situations that seem impossible, remind us that You are still a miracle-working God.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
